    When bodies speak…

HANNOVER. “Let thick men be around me,” Caesar already wished in Shakespeare. Whether he would have said that after a visit to the Spanish General Consulate (Bodemerstraße 2) will remain uncertain. The artist Ramón Conde shows sculptures of men, women and people with indefinable gender, whose greatest attraction is that the voluptuous figures of a Fernando Botero appear emaciated in comparison.

And these beings then sometimes throw themselves into gymnastic poses. The highly original double exhibition is completed by paintings by David Moratón, who studied at Hannover Art Academy. Completely against the trend, the young painter tends toward the grand gesture, presents swirling natural scenes and people in expressive body language. Open until April 30. Mon.-Fri. 8:30 to 14 hours, Sat. April 8:30 to 13 hours.
