Satori is a Japanese word that literally means to comprehend, and it is used in Zen and refers to a name a special moment of enlightenment in the consciousness. One arrives at this moment by means of the action of the mind and the contemplation of the essence of Buddha or of being.
This is how David Moratón begins to describe his project for the video installation consisting of a audio and a photography landscape created using sophisticated digital techniques, which interacts are based on a series of hypnotic cycles by the artist in the Las Canteras landscape (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) at different hours from the same spot, composing a 360 degree complete circle of a landscape surrounded in space and time, surrounded by a mysterious and exotic ambiance. The artist creates a mysterious and hypnotic atmosphere that reflects the same spot in which he places different scenes staged in natural spaces like the Tierra Secreta Park, within the bounds of the landscape made “visible,” a product of the painstaking work of the artist in harmonizing the relationship between the natural environment and the architecture with his natural phenomena, very much to the face in other works by the artist.
